August 7, 2025 – Washington, D.C.—The Commercial Space Federation (CSF) is pleased to welcome AstroForge and IBX. as new Associate Members. These forward-looking companies bring cutting-edge capabilities that will strengthen CSF’s role in shaping the future of commercial space.

• AstroForge is a deep-space mining company on a mission to extract valuable metals from asteroids – starting with PGMs, or platinum group metals. By bringing space resources into Earth’s supply chain, AstroForge is aiming to reduce the need for traditional terrestrial mining methods and explore a more sustainable future – one mission at a time. AstroForge launched its first deep space mission, Odin, in early 2025, to do a flyby of an asteroid. The team is preparing for their second mission, Vestri, slated to launch in 2026.

• IBX. led by visionary Dr. Kam Ghaffarian, is an innovation and investment firm focused on space, energy, and deep technology sectors. With a strong commitment to advancing humanity and human knowledge, IBX drives investment strategies that redefine business ecosystems, incubates new business concepts, and builds the economics of the future.

“AstroForge and IBX. represent the bold, innovative spirit that drives the commercial space industry forward. We’re excited to welcome them to CSF and look forward to working together to shape a more sustainable and expansive future in space.”
– Dave Cavossa, President, Commercial Space Federation (CSF)
